Stroll(ing) On in Sunny Snowdonia

Last weekend was spent camping in Ogwen valley and climbing with friends from Warwick uni. It was a quality trip. Lots of good climbing and good people. Here is quick photo summary of the trip:

The highlight for me was just about onsighting Stroll On a 45m E3 6a on Clogwyn Y Grochan in Llanberis Pass. It's a contender for the best single pitch of trad climbing I've ever climbed. The crux is was suppost to be pulling over the roof at mid hight. The roof was hard, but I found the moves nearer the top harder and more technical, a great deal of arm pump did not help! It was probably the closest I'v come to falling of without actually falling!

The day was finished in style with tasty dinner and campfire on the beach.

The weekend was also the first outing for my van. I spent four nights sleeping and cooking in it over the weekend. It's quality, I'm looking forward to getting stuck in building a bed and some storage in the back once I get home.

Other events of the (long) weekend include climbing Direct Route on Glyder Fach in atmospheric mist with Trystan:

And a lazy sunny day climbing Oberon with Amy and Amy at Tremadog:
